Answering
and Making CallsAnswer an Incoming Call: Pick
up a Call that is Ringing at Another Extension: - Press the "Answer"
key.
- Enter the extension that the call is ringing on.
Pick
up a Call that is holding on Another Extension: - Press the "Answer"
key
- Enter the number of the extension where the call is held.
Reach
Another Extension in the Building: - Press the SPKR key or lift the
handset.
- Dial the extension number or press a name key.
Page:
- Lift the handset.
- Press "71".
- Begin speaking.
- When
you are finished making your announcement, press the hookswitch with your finger
to end. You can hang up the handset to end, but that method generally produces
a loud noise over the speakers.
Make an Outgoing Call: - Lift
the handset.
- Press the "Outgoing" button.
- Dial the phone
number.
Place a Conference Call: - While on the first
call, press the "CNF" button or "Infinity" and the "5"
key.
- Place an intercom or outside call.
- Press the "CNF"
or "Infinity" button and "5".
- Press the "CNF"
or "Infinity" button and "5" again to establish the call.
Use
Station Speed Dials: - Lift the handset.
- Press an idle line
key.
- Press the speed dial key or "Infinity" and "382"
- Enter
the speed dial bin number (0-9).
Use System Speed Dials:
- Lift the handset.
- Press any idle line key.
- Press the "Infinity"
key and "381"
- Press the 2-digit bin number (01-99)
- Press
the "#" key to dial the number.
Call HandlingTransfer
a Call to Another Extension: - Press the "Transfer" key
- Dial
the extension number or press the name key
- Announce the call or hang up.
Transfer
a Call to VoiceMail: - Press the "Transfer" key
- Press
"299".
- Press the extension number.
- Hang up.
Handle
Multiple Incoming Calls: - Put the first call on hold by pressing the
"HOLD" key.
- Pick up the second call by pressing the blinking
line key.
- Put the second call on hold, pressing the "HOLD" key.
- Return
to the first call by pressing its line key
Use Call Forward:
- Press "FWD".
- Press "355" to forward all calls.
- Enter
the destination extension.
- To forward calls to an outside telephone number,
select an outgoing line and dial the telephone number.
Cancel Call
Forwarding: - Press the "FWD" key.
- Press the "SPKR"
key.
Programming and PreferencesUse the Distinctive
Ring Feature: - Lift the handset or press "SPKR".
- Press
the "Infinity" key.
- Press "398".
- Press your
choice of 0-9 on the keypad
- Press "SPKR" when you hear the ring
you want.
Program Station Speed Dials: - Press the "Infinity"
key and "383".
- Enter the Speed Dial Number (0-9).
- Enter
the telephone number (up to 32 digits).
- Press "#" to accept.
Program
System Speed Dials: - Do not lift the handset.
- Press "9801".
- Enter
the 2-digit bin number (01-99).
- To program the location name, press the
keypad keys to enter the desired characters.
- Press the "#" key
to save the name.
- Enter the telephone number to be stored.
- Press
"#" to save and exit.
Program Name Buttons: - Press
the "Infinity" key.
- Press "397".
- Press the
button to be programmed.
- Enter the 3-digit extension number.
Put
the System in Night Mode (Administrators Only):Deactivate Night Mode (Administrators Only):Voice MailLeave a Message for
an Internal Extension: - Press "299".
- Enter the desired
extension number.
- Follow the prompts.
Access Voice Mail when
the Message Indicator Light is Flashing: - Press the "SPKR"
key or lift the handset.
- Press "MSG" and follow the prompts.
Access
Voice Mail When the Message Indicator Light is Not Flashing: - Press
the "SPKR" key or lift the handset.
- Press "299".
- When
the auto attendant message begins, press "*"
Access Voice
Mail from Outside the Office: - Call in to the office.
- At the
main greeting, transfer to extension 299.
- Press the "*" key
and follow the prompts.
Initial Voice Mail Box Setup: - Press
"SPKR" or lift the handset.
- Press "299".
- Enter
your temporary password (your extension number) and press "#".
- Follow
the prompts. When prompted to state your name, say your full name and extension
number.
Example Greeting: "Hello, you have reached (Name). I'm
sorry I've missed your call. Please leave a detailed message so that I can get
back to you with the information you need. Let me know the best time to reach
you and I'll try to get back to you then. Thank you for your call."
