For T1 or T1/PRI Lines:
A T1 provides 24 high-quality "lines" and requires a monthly service plan from your phone company, but is usually less expensive than paying for 24 individual lines through the phone company. A T1 can be used for regular phone calls, faxing and with additional items that may be provided by your T1 provider, also enables interoffice connections, internet traffic, and data. T1 allows a company to send long distance calls directly to a long-distance provider, bypassing the local phone company. Add PRI capability for caller ID or ANI. PRI describes a type of high-speed ISDN (Integrated Services Digital
Network) connection. PRI, when used with a T1, provides 23 channels
which can be used for phone calls and one channel for signaling
information (assigning channels as voice, data, videoconferencing,
etc.) and features such as caller ID and hotel information services.
PRI ISDN requires the use of a T1 line and T-1 service from your
phone company.
