Programming and Using Your Infostar VXII Voice mail System

1. Do not lift the handset.
2. Press the "Program" key.
3. Enter the 2-digit bin number (01-29).
4. Enter the phone number.
5. Press the "Program" key.
1. Lift the handset.
2. Press an idle line key.
3. Press the "Program" key.
4. Press the 2-digit bin number for the number you want.
1. Do not lift the handset.
2. Press the "Program" key.
3. Press the key you wish to program.
4. Enter the 2-digit bin number (01-29).
5. Enter the phone number (starting with a "9" if you have a Centrex
system).
6. Press the "Program" key.

1. To access voice mail, press "SPKR" or lift the handset.
2. Press "436".
3. When the system answers, press pound (#), press milbox 5000, press password
5000, then press pound(#).
4. A menu of choices is played; press "3" for mailbox administration.
5. A menu of choices is played; press "8" for mailbox greetings.
6. Press the mailbox number: "0001" is the mailbox number for the
main greeting.
7. Choices are played: press "1" to listen, press "2" to
record, press "3" to erase.
8. Once a choice has been made from number 6 above, a statement is played: "Valid
numbers are 1 through 9. These are the greeting numbers. The main greeting is
always greeting 1. If recording new greetings, press (#) when you are done speaking.
It is highly recommended that, if a greeting is to be re-recorded, a greeting
be erased prior to re-recording.
9. It is recommended that greetings be listened to after recording or re-recording
to assure the deisired result has been achieved.
10. Once administartion is complete, you may press the star key (*) to back
up one menu level or repeatedly until the system says, "Exiting the system,
goodbye."

Sample: "Thank you for calling __________________ company. If you know your party's extension number, you may dial it at any time. To use our company directory, press ______, to read the operator, press "0" or stay on the line."
Tips: Digits 1,2,4-9 may be used for direction to extensions, mailboxes, or hunt groups based on customer needs. The digit "3" is reserved for "If you know your party's extension".

3. When voice mail picks up, press "#", then mailbox 5000.
4. Press password "5000", then press the "#" key.
5. A menu is played, press "5" to change time and date.
6. After the date plays, enter the new date in this format: MMDDYY.
7. After the time plays, enter the new time in military format ie. 2:17pm would
be entered as "141700".
8. When completed, press the "*" key until the voice mail plays the
message, "Exiting the system."
Once the time and date is reset in the VXII , the voice mail should no need
to be reprogrammed even if a power outage occurs and the computer shuts down
improperly.

and enter password "5000", then press "#" again.

7. Enter the mailbox type; "100" is general subscriber, "700"
is system administration.
8. Enter the zero destination number. If the zero destination is an extension,
press "1". If the zero destination is a mailbox, press "2".
9. Enter the department number (press "#" to skip).
10. Spell the subscriber's last name and first name using the keys on the dial
pad. (Use "7" for "Q" and "9" for "Z".)
The new mailbox data is played for confirmation.

in most cases must be at least 4 digits long and a maximum of 9 digits long.
Enter the new password, then press "#".
7. Voice mail repeats the new password.
8. The menu plays again from "To reset a mailbox pass code, press "1",
etc. At this point you may press "1" and another mailbox number, another
option or press "*" four times to exit voice mail administration.
