The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) is an industry group that standardizes the Bluetooth System for wireless personal device networks. Bluetooth is a rapidly growing technology that allows people to use wireless devices that transmit data within a 10 meter radius.

It provides a way to connect and exchange information between wireless devices such as Mobile Phones, PDA's, Laptops, PC's, Printers, and Digital Cameras, via a low cost, globally available short-range radio frequency.
